How to forward gmail email using filters

Yup. To do this, you will have to update your Gmail account setting that is connected with CozyCal:

Set up a Filter to Auto Forward in Gmail

  1. On your computer, open Gmail using the account you want to forward messages from. You can only forward messages for a single Gmail address, and not an email group or alias.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top right corner of the Gmail screen and select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. In the "Forwarding" section, click Add a forwarding address.
  5. Enter the email address you want to forward messages to.
  6. Click Next, then Proceed, then OK.
  7. Gmail sends a verification email to the address you added. Enter the code it contains in the box next to Verify [email address] and select Verify. Alternatively, follow the link provided in the email sent to the forwarding address and choose Confirm to confirm that you allow messages to be forwarded to that email address.

8. In the Forwarding section, you can click on creating a filter to filter and forward CozyCal messages only.

8. A pop window will show up, for From enter events@cozycal.com, notifications@cozycal.com, for To enter your current email address that is receiving emails from events@cozycal.com.

9. Check "Apply the label", you can click on Choose label, the drop-down menu will ask you to either apply an existing label or creating a new one. If you are creating a new label, click on New Label, and enter a new label name.

10. Also check "Forward it to", click on it to select the new email address you have added.

11. Click on Create Filter at the bottom.

Turn off automatic forwarding

  1. On your computer, open Gmail using the account you want to stop forwarding messages from.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top right corner of the Gmail screen and select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
  3. Click the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. In the Forwarding section, click Disable forwarding.
  5. At the bottom, click Save Changes.

Delete a filter

If you use multiple filters to forward email messages and you want to stop using one, delete that filter.

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Select the Settings gear icon in the upper-right corner of the screen and choose Settings from the drop-down list.
  3. Select Filters and Blocked Addresses.
  4. Choose the filter you want to change.
  5. Select Edit to change the filter or Delete to remove the filter.
  6. If you edit the filter, make the changes and then select Continue when you're done editing.

  7. Select Update Filter or OK.
